Nashville 1/2 marathon

When Sharon sets a goal, she gets focused like a heat seeking missile. The goal for 2010: get back in shape and run a good marathon in October. Well, she got in pretty good shape...to the tune of setting the record at the Nashville Music City half marathon. Sharon finished the race in a little under 1 hour and 16 minutes. I'm very proud of her. Here's a thing about Sharon that she might never tell you: she loves to compete. When she said felt the itch to dust off the shoes, I supported her 100%. It's part of what makes her remarkable.

I like this picture with downtown in the background.

This was taken while Sharon was on stage. For a second, I thought she was going to start strumming her trophy.

There was a cool awards banquet the night of the race. John Rich from "Big and Rich" performed at the concert and we got back stage passes. It was certainly not something we anticipated when we woke up that morning;)

I got up Luke bright and early to watch his mama compete. We had aunt Cici there to help watch him while Sharon was working her magic after the race. I'm glad Luke got to see Sharon work hard, compete and experience a victory. He says he wants to run with Mommy....maybe after this third birthday.

What an awesome day for the whole family! Sharon, you make everyone admire you because you work so hard at everything you do! I kinda figured you were a little competitive :o) I love the picture with downtown in the background too Kevin. It's sad how the flood changed things so fast! Good Job! Love DQ
