Go Kev!

Last weekend Kevin ran a 5k with my brothers and nephew. If you know Kevin he isn't the distance type.....however he is going to run the Chicago Marathon this fall so he has been training for a few months. I really enjoyed watching him. Usually its the other way around so this was a nice treat for me.

Here he is 100 meters into the race....lets just say he wasn't smiling on the way in.

Kev ran 22 minutes on a very hot humid night.

Swartz Creek had a festival on Saturday so we took Luke.....Lets just say I saw some very weird animals...(look to your left)

Here's Kev showing off for his son....he had to throw over 66 mph to win $20. He kept throwing 64, and when he would throw really good the guy was like "oh that didn't clock" go figure!

Luke wasn't tall enough to go on any of the really cool rides that his daddy went on, but he seemed to enjoy himself.

Luke and I watched Kevin as he made the funniest faces....he is such a kid!

Later we went to dinner and Luke got really messy!

As we get older, one has to accept limitations! Good luck with the marathon! Luke seems to be having a ball! Can't wait to see you!

Congrats on the 5K, Kevin! You looked great out there. Those were some crazy animals at the fair. Our highlight was eating the funnel cakes. The kids loved them and so did their pregnant mama!

Hey Kevin, it's cool you are distance running and giving it the old college try :o) I love hometown carnivals, but they always cheat you out of the prizes! Luke was really checking out those sheep! He makes such funny faces! You now have an official spaghetti eating picture of your baby! Everyone needs one! It's nice you all enjoyed the outing! Love the hot humid Michigan summers(NOT!) Love, DQ
