San Francisco!

Sharon and I are in San Francisco for her big race tomorrow. She runs the 10K (6.2 miles) at Stanford tomorrow night. I'm very excited to watch her run. Win lose or draw, I'm very proud of her for her level of commitment and dedication despite all the challenges this year. Even when Sharon was pregnant and her mind was made up to make a comeback, I told everyone, "If anyone can do it, Sharon can." So here we are, after a C-section, Luke's surgeries, move, change of jobs, etc., she stands poised to do it (and never made excuses along the way). She's missing that part of her brain that tells her it's ok to stop. When her mind's made up, it's as good as done (except when it comes to cleaning the house, then other priorities magically appear:)

We took some pictures while we were jogging at Lincoln Park near the Golden Gate bridge. It was a beautiful trail. The trail was along a ridge line near the bridge.

It's a long way down!

Mother, I was at least 4 inches from the edge. Don't worry.

Things that make you go "Hmmmm."

This looks like a lot of fun.

We stopped and had dinner at the "Tennessee Grill." I was decked out in my Tennessee gear and had a good laugh. The diner was full of Asians, and I'd be willing to bet you a cold Dr. Pepper that not a single employee knew where Tennessee was on the map. But it was fun.

Nice pictures--of course you found the Tennessee Grill. Nice.

Shar, good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking about you and sending strong/kickass vibes your way. You are going to fly, and if you start feeling tired, just remember that you probably would have already lapped me three times!! :)

I am very proud of you!

Sharon,
Your mother-in-law said it so well - that you are committed to excellence in all areas of your life. Last night was just another example of that. We are very proud of you! Congratulations on another great race. And Kevin, you are an example of what a supportive husband can help his wife achieve. You two make a great team!

Sharon! I didn't know you guys were coming to SF. You should have told me and we could have met up with you guys. I guess it was sort of a business trip though for you. :) How did the race end up?
