Italian American award!

Last weekend, my mother was honored by UNICO, a national Italian American organization, as the most Outstanding Italian American in the city of Memphis. My grandfather received this honor in 1983 and I was happy to be present to see my mother receive the same award. She gave a stone-cold perfect speech! Very presidential and elegant. Well done, mother! My sister, Cynthia, and her husband Todd were also in the picture.

Here's Luke and I at the park in Memphis. Since Sharon took a 70 minute run, Luke and I had some time to kill. He loves walking around with his daddy.

Here is my fabulous Aunt Janet! This is her debut photo on the blog. She is absolutely fantastic! It was great seeing her for the weekend. I regret that we didn't have a toddy together during the weekend.
Here's Madeline a/k/a Mad-Dog. She is such a gorgeous little girl. She's my niece and luckily looks like her mother and not my brother. just kidding...but seriously.

Meet my brother Joe and his wife Becky. We used to see them all the time in Knoxville. I miss their company and their free Sunday dinners.

Here's me with my grandmother, Mimi. She was very proud of her daughter. I wish that my grandfather could've been there, but he passed away last January. It's unusual for me to see her without him attached to her hip.

Here's a short little clip of Luke playing with grass at the park. It's pretty uneventful, but cute.

congrats to Kevin's Mom! Luke is already quite the outdoorsman--when is his first hike or camping trip?
